There's nothing wrong with helping someone in need. It's a bit odd that that's what you had to do, but bless you for doing it

Not really related but anyways my college employs autistic people to work as janitors to give them a chance to work in society or something and one of my professors told me about how he once went to the bathroom and saw one of them just standing in there. It seemed a little odd but he didn't think too much about it and left. He came back hour or so later and found him standing there in the exact same position. He asked him if something was wrong and apparently the dude pooped in his pants and didn't know what to do

I can't imagine someone saying no in this situation. I'm sure the elderly gentleman was just as embarrassed. Thank you for not just leaving him like that.
