That's common though? Teachers and parents teach younger children to put their coats on like this because it's easier for them

But if you'd been in an education setting, a nursery or something, that's how they teach kids to put their coats on. They want to make them independent.

They do this all the time in my kid's daycare - it's really prominent from the 3's and older kids (who don't need help zipping/buttoning up coats), so yes, it's a teachers to kids thing.

My kid does that, then again I do too sometimes especially if my shoulder is bugging me.
