Pls don't bring up Trump's knowledge of trade deals. It's not very much and it makes me very very sad

... have you not been paying attentions, we have already negotiated many deals for when he gets into office. we are already saving billions, and over 100,000 jobs slated in the next few years. before he is in office and already looks promising. get over the whole "i lost" mentality and look forward, have hopes. i didn't like obama, and definitely didn't like him when he failed the first 4 years. though each time i said "i didn't vote for him, but he is my president and i hope he does well" if the president does well, we do well. it is petty to hope for failure. get over it and have hope.

Get off your high horse. I want trump to succeed but in this meme he is referring to NAFTA which has been amazingly profitable for the United States. And the jobs he's saving are safe only as long as they can't be automated. Meaning they likely won't exist in 15 years. I'm speaking strictly from an economic perspective of trade, and anyone that knows anything about economics or trade knows that NAFTA has been a resounding success. You can't reduce the science of economics to 2 sentence talking points, because it's far more nuanced than that.

yes, it made it easier for us to buy things, but it sapped all of our jobs out. you can't trade cheap import for American manufacturing. the thing here is we saw the results and it doesn't help. yes you can get your cheap walmart goods, but you are forced to go there because you can't afford anything else. i am not on a high horse, i am just tired of people whining about him winning. it's done, now hope for the best. more of the same wasn't working. the last 8 years, shoot the last 16 years sucked. we need to bring manufacturing back and create jobs again. we need the government to make it easier to build in America, not harder. seriously would you have wanted hillary to win win and get $15/hr? jumping to $8/hr created automated checkout boom we see. it nearly doubled the cost of most of our food. it forced more jobs over seas. you can't say he isn't a good negotiator when we are already seeing positive results.

It didn't sap our jobs out, you're wrong. Technological advancement sapped out our jobs. American manufacturing is currently producing the most it has ever produced with the fewest employees possible because of tech advancement. I'm not whining about him winning, I'm lamenting his lack of knowledge regarding the economic consensus that free trade is great for all parties involved. It's like he's never heard of comparative advantage or something. I'm a proponent of abolishing the minimum wage entirely. Sure he's a great negotiator, but that's not what I posted about. My post is about his trade protectionist trade policy which is misguided and will hurt Americans.

i am sorry for assuming everything i did, least this is a conversation strictly on nafta. you can't say it didn't help sap jobs out. with the government over regulating and over taxing our businesses nafta hurt us. it was sound in it's reasoning, but we couldn't compete because how our government hurts our growing businesses and how other governments help theirs. many of our big manufacturing businesses left, nafta only helped. sorry i will have to get back with this conversation i go to work in 30 min and i will be working for the next 12 hours. i'll get back into this conversation when i get back

i try to keep all discussions civil. i prefer debates over arguments. ok, back to what i was saying. the concept of nafta was good, but it has lead to many of our businesses leaving our country because they don't get any punishment to do so. we may still have production, but that is strictly due to the higher amount of production over all. the fact is we are not getting enough jobs in manufacturing to keep our economy stable. we need to give incentives for businesses to come back. now this isn't just nafta, this is all trade. this isn't just trade it is regulations. i think our whole import/export system needs to be reset. we need to make America a country of production like it once was. we are strong people that created this country with hard work and perspiration. i think free trade shouldn't apply to businesses that ditch our country for cheaper labor.

for me i tend to buy things i need at the time. socks and underwear are things i let slide. it is something i need, but don't buy often. i let my socks get holes and my underwear to lose it's elasticity. it is nice getting fresh pair. you can always use socks and underwear.
