Wasn't there some study or something that found a correlation between intelligence and depression?

it isn't being unhappy, it is being bored with the world.

That, and/or constantly disappointed by it.

In all seriousness, my daughter and I have very often discussed just how happy dumb people truly seem to be. I don't in any way mean to be disparaging but they just don't fully understand the ramifications of most of life's challenges and sail on with the breeze. I have trouble deciding if I am jealous or feel pity for them.

i think they live in the present and have no concept of the following days. the more you know, the more you see the path. like with me, i can't watch many movies, because i will figure out everything before the half-way mark. life is to predictable and it gets boring. if i didn't see every possibility of everything all the time, i probably be more happy. though, i prefer knowing over not.
