No it just means it's large. It could still well be shallow and still large. Take Hawaii for example. They're close to drowning and they're still visible.
The islands of Hawaii are tiny dots on the map though and were made by volcanic eruption. Even if they were to sink, they'd begin to reform the next time those volcanoes erupted.

If a land mass that big was made by volcanic eruption, the resulting mountain right above the volcano would be pretty huge and there hasn't been enough water rising levels in the past 23 years to warrant that it would cover up something that big.
Maps include fake towns to detect copyright infringement. Maybe the globe company did the same thing. It's not as though anyone uses a globe to navigate the world.
