More people need to not just see this but get a chance to experience this kind of scenario and perspective.

I really hope this goes viral so people get a chance to see just a microscopic part of the decision police officers have to make. I commend the news station too, because usually this isn't the side of the situation they report on.

These are the scenarios my friends and family talk about all the time. A friend just retired after 30 years and never discharged his weapon and never asssulyed with any weapon. He's one of the lucky ones. It makes the news when cops are shot but they also get stabbed, hit with bats and bottles and rocks.

I remember seeing this awhile ago, not sure where, maybe Last Week Tonight or something similar. I get their point, but at the same time, a cop would have had much more training and experience in this area than what can be taught in, what, an afternoon? Can't remember if they even touched on how much training this guy got, or if they just threw him in and hoped for the best (or worst, THAT's a story.).
