Well, actually I'm personally more geared towards paying my own bills and finding a guy who can pay his and this is no kind of phenomenon. There are plenty of dudes out there who are golddiggers, too.

I totally agree. there are guys and girls who are gold diggers. it's not just women and its not just men. but guest is also right, genetically, we are engineered to find a partner who can provide for us, and this isn't limited to women, but such traits are more often found in women. men are genetically engineered to look for someone with wide hips and large breasts as that indicates a fertile partner. as this society is changing, there are more rights and independence given to women so, as you said, not everyone's a gold digger.
