Sadly, it's a stereotype thing.

And a reporter asked a kid if they were scared of their [parent] and they said no because "my new friends are scarier".

They came by my school once, and did a presentation on domestic/child abuse, and who to tell if you are in a place where your getting abused. They're amazing.

Why aren't there people like this everywhere?

Too many people are judged upon their looks. Some of the greatest people I have met have been bikers. My son attends a special needs school and one of the biker clubs (name?), does a toy run for the kids and we usually end up having Santa being pulled by a Harley and about 100 bikes have Christmas decorations. This past year makes it their 25th anniversary.

Yes this is touching but it is a one off event. Bikies (that's what we call them in Australia) often have gang wars and kill innocent civilians, deal drugs, import guns (guns are banned in Australia) and evade tax. These men and possibly women are very caring in this situation but this does not extend too all bikies unfortunately.

No, this is definitely not a one-off. Most motorcycle clubs do a lot of charity work from collecting money to help veterans to collecting toys, clothes, etc for underprivileged kids at Christmas. The criminal element is greatly exaggerated in media and film. Just because someone wears leather and has tattoos does not make them bad people. Can't speak for Oz but in the states it's kinda like assuming all black men that hang out together are violent gang members. The ratio of criminals who ride to good guys (and gals) who just look a little "scary" is unbelievably small.

This specific gang primarily does this work. It's their main purpose.

And whether they happen to be bikers or just thugs in prison, even among criminals there is one universal rule: YOU DO NOT FUCK WITH CHILDREN.

and then we see drug dealers

You could be in jail for beating your wife, stabbing a guy in a bar fight, stealing your grandma's Social Security checks, and cooking meth in the church bathroom and no one's really gonna care. But you throw a Chester in there and he's gonna have a bad time.

Yeah. Guys who commit violence against children do not last long in prison. Example: Jeffrey Dahmer. I think he was killed a couple months after going to prison.

They may be good people, that doesn't make their bikes less loud. Also, Southpark. "Bike-curious,"
