Waiting for the day

If you're waiting for it, the humble part didn't work

My parents kind of did this for me. For my entire life they told me and had me convinced that I would be paying for my first car in full and that they wouldn't be making any contributions to it. It was all me. I believed it too. I even saved up a lot of money from my first job thinking it was going towards my first car. Then for my high school graduation, they surprised me and bought me a car which they actually had been planning to do for years. And I'm absolutely forever grateful because I probably wouldn't have been able to go the college I wanted to and been stuck at the local community college if I was busy working to make car payments.
