His character showed up briefly in "The Flash", and being already disappointed with the show itself, his character was disgustingly cliche and plain stupid. It made the episode simultaneously disgusting and laughable.

I think The Flash actually got his origins in Arrow, so that is why there was a crossover. Anyway, you are right, the show is RIDICULOUSLY cliche, with major plot holes, and some pretty bad acting.

I'm not completely sure, but I think green arrow is the alternate batman...comic companies rotated out characters so they wouldn't get old, just like superman and Martian manhunter

I never really understood why his identity is a secret. His hood barely covers his face. Plus you can clearly see the mole near his lower lip. Didn't get past Season 1.
