It's a pretty dense sentence. Strip it back a bit and it says this:
If you say that doctors should be held to higher standards, nobody bats an eyelid.
But, if you say that the police should be held to higher standards, everybody loses their minds.
Police are in fact kind of held to higher standard. When a doctor operates on a patient it's to save the patient. When a policeman "operates" on soneone, it's to save everyone else. I wonder how you'd compare success rates of both from that angle.
Why is this so hard for everyone to understand... It's about police brutality, unnecessary use of force... Shooting people for no reason point blank in the head. Does anyone watch the news?
Oh! I understand! You're talking about marginal, exceptionnal event performed by a couple of rotten apples against fellows that (even though it doesn't mean they deserve to be beaten and shot) most of the times are convicted criminals, all in the name of protecting the vast majority of the honest people form theft, agression, rape and murder? That's you cause?
A few rotten apples...? Really, just a few? and no matter the crime their right as an American is to have a day in court, a cop isn't above the law and taking someone's life without a cause to do so should be put behind bars just like the rest of us. So you don't want cops held accountable for wrongfully murdering someone?!

Police are allowed to meet force with force and i would want a cop to kill anyone trying to kill them
Understandable. If their or someone else's life is at risk and that is the only option, I agree. But if an unarmed person or someone who is not a threat and you can physically take them down absolutely not. For example the cop who murdered Walter Scott. Walter Scott was running and the slob just started shooting at his back. Run you fat fuck that's your job! To chase the bad guys, right?!

Yes that is true but there are other times when the officer has a fraction of a second to decide to shoot or not to protect his or other peoples lives. If someone is not listening to the officers commands such as showing there hand or not to reach in there pockets can end badly for the suspect whether they have a weapon or not.
Well we both seem to agree. But my point is that they should be held accountable for murder. Certain circumstances like the examples we used I can understand. Point blank shooting someone in the head or multiple shots to the back no fucking way. There are so many videos of police brutality and they get away with it. It's bullshit.

Yes they should be held accountable and to an extent they are if i remember correctly the cop your talking about has been charged. Police brutality and murder are two different things though im sure you know that
