I think it's fake. Why would they all have their phones on and with sound in the movie theater?

If the movie hadn't started yet, they might have still had them on.

Usually they start to turn their phones off as they sit down, they seemed pretty attentive to the commercial when they were sitting. I don't know, seems shifty to me.
