Some people don't like it because everyone who follows the comments will get a notification about it, which can be annoying, I guess. It's a moot point though, as long as the random button exists, because obviously people are going to click on it and maybe comment on what comes up.

I used to do it constantly, before I knew it pissed people off. It didn't help my popularity, and I was widely regarded as some sort of joke.
