Ya....i was always confused why people use it as a reason to get drunk. Especially since taverns used to be closed on saint Patrick's day. ..

I am so annoyed by this. And people pinching me if I'm not wearing green!? Im freaking Hispanic I am not gonna pretend I have Ireland connections. And im venezuelan we don't need an excuse to binge beer!. Cool ireland gets a day in America if you want to be part of it cool but I don't own anything green so back off

I don't know what part of Ireland you're talking about, but in Dublin, practically everyone wears a shit ton of green on St Patrick's day. I was at the parade and it was absolutely nuts.
