Look, I realize that anyone can choose their gender and stuff, but isn't 10 years old a bit too early to be making decisions about this shit? You can't even fucking multiply yet, how are you choosing a gender identity
What the fuck does this post mean? The girlfriend thinks that she was a boy for the first 10 years of her life? The brother is making an obvious judgement on the fact that his girlfriend is in fact female?
'I thought that I put on a white shirt this morning when I got changed, but when I went to the supermarket, it turns out it was actually green. A person asked if this bothered me and I replied:
"Well yeah, I thought I was wearing a white shirt but actually I was wearing a green one."
I have BLACK HAIR.'
Ok there is nothing to "learn" from this kid. Reguardless of age. If I'm dating you and then one day you come clean that you identify as a guy, we are not going to be dating anymore. There's no "oh ok I have a boyfriend now". If I am a heterosexual male in a males body and you are a homosexual male in a females body, we have some preference conflicts. Power to you in your own life decisions, but it is my decision to be dating a girl. Don't deceive me into a relationship just because you have a female body. That said, I applaud this kids acceptance, but they are a little young to be messing with relationships and gender identity.
Persinally I never saw it as fake and I have to agree with all the people who disagree with you guest. You can't be 10 and make a mistake like that, and no matter how strong it's authenticity is, there is no acceptance. I agree with famousone.
If Bob is eating an apple thinking it's an orange, and then looks at it and realizes it's an apple, Bob is wrong, and actually a bit slow for failing to realize this. And you can't just add a moral to the end of it when the moral is based off of something that never happened to Bob? Enlighten us to your view of the world please.
But "it" is so dehumanizing... I personally don't see the problem with using "he" or "she" according to how the girlfriend in this scenario identifies at any point in time
Okay, so here's what I THINK this post means, because I had to read it a few times to understand:
.
- OP has a 10yo brother
- Brother had a girlfriend at some point
- Girlfriend recently confessed she identifies as male
- Brother says that he wouldn't have cared; instead of being called his girlfriend, she would simply be called his boyfriend
.
Basically, OP's brother is a good kid.
.
Though I don't know if this is real or not...

What bothers me is that it's a 10 year old in a relationship. You shouldn't date at 10, you have very little concept of what dating is at that point.

Okay, okay. Everyone calm down. I agree the age is quite disturbing, but I think that you're just supposed to take from it the fact that you should like someone for their personality.
This is some feminist bs and a horrible sister or brother. A 10 year old doesn't understand love and if you teach him that it's ok to mess around with his guy buddies then he's going to be doing it. Don't be proud of this and educate yourself.
