Well now I know all the places I'd have to buy a new charger at if I wanted to visit there.

You'll probably need just an adapter actually, not a whole new charger.
Check the power input requirements on the chager, many devices are now what's called "free volt" meaning that they auto adjust for 110v to 220v internally.
