That's completely different. Being depressed because there are people fighting wars is because people are dying and getting severely injured and that's sad.
But pretty much all Valentines Day hate is from people who are single who don't celebrate the holiday because they don't have a person to celebrate it with. They're just mad they can't join in on a big Holiday. You don't see non-christians fighting over Christmas or about Easter. And you don't see non Americans or Canadians throwing fits over us celebrating thanksgiving.

That's not true. First, if I was helped off the streets I would be grateful.
Second, not everyone chooses to be homeless. Sometimes they lose their job with no luck in finding a new one. Then they could have had their house foreclosed with no money for rent somewhere else.
Though there are some people who choose to be homeless, not everyone can handle it and not being able to find a job or home easily doesn't make them animals.

Well, if there were parents that were obese they could get their children started on the lifestyle. They wouldn't be able to be active with them and if they're obese they probably don't eat very healthily.
And you usually have obese people talking about you don't know about their health issues, which leads some people so believe that there is nothing wrong with it, so they'll eat however much of anything and end up getting an early death.
