People don't get fully broke or homeless when they need a chemo or even an ambulance. That's one of the main ideas when it's working.

Ok, looking at, let's say Europe, there's almost 30 states, all have very different economies but all have universal healthcare. Try again.

Welp. You're more than halfway there. All you need is a black spandex and a utility belt. :D

This was all based on a food scandal where Beef was systematically re-labelled just before the expiration date.
This was in 2012, I think. There was a huge controversy and uproar about it, which finally was the reason for deleting the Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz, which by then was the longest German word in existence.
For the deleted paragraph:
Rindfleisch Beef
Etikettierung Labelling
Überwachung Surveillance
Aufgaben Tasks
Übertragung Delegation
Gesetz Law
A law delegating the surveillance tasks on beef product labelling.

And he got every dime back through tax refund. He's no philantropist, he's a tax evader.

Rocking that black widow look!
Is it just me or are you constantly getting more beautiful over the past few years we know each other?

I don't think anyone born before 1970 would call himself X. But generally being born after 1980 won't count you into X. Anyway, there are many shades of grey here.

Today, people are seeking for a better goodlife balance. In societies where 50% of employees are working on computers and basically don't have any reason to commute and to show up in an office, there would be huge economical and ecological benefits of more flexible workhour models than the ones we are working under today.
The 9-5 job is very oldfashioned and more invented for an industrial society, which most of us aren't any longer. It is obvious that a nurse can't help more people from Monday to Thursday in order to take Friday off. But if an office worker gets his orders (or whatever) done til deadline, there's no need to be in some office for 8+ hours a day.
