Adoption is never an easy option. In fact I can be harder for a woman to give her baby up for adoption than abortion.
A woman had to carry a baby to term, pay for hospital visits, undergoes a bodily change, and is at risk for many health complications. Having a baby isn't as simple as popping out a kid after nine months. There's morning sickness, extreme exhaustion, swelling of hands and feet, and other things that make pregnancy difficult. So this woman then has to give birth to this baby she knows she can't keep (whatever the case may be) and give it to someone else. After putting in nine months of effort and many many hours of labor (when many women can die) she watches as her baby, her flesh and blood, is handed off to someone else to raise and love. She will forever love with the fact that she abandoned (this is how she feels) her own baby and it's out there in the world being raised by someone else. Some women just don't have that strength.
