A lot of people masquarade as straight, that doesn't mean they actually are. Your friend probably did think he was straight because that is is norm, it's what people (according to society) are supposed to be. Most people who are in the closet date people of the opposite sex in the hope they will change, or because they don't know any better. Just because your friend was in a relationship with a woman doesn't mean he was physically attracted to her, it just took some time to come to terms with what he was and realize "Hey, I like guys"

Why must you take everything I say personally?
How do you know what they're eating anyway? Sure they say they're eating healthy at home but that doesn't mean they are. Obesity due to genetics is actually pretty rare.
