Both sides of the story are pretty biased in their favorite. Mom's description seems out of character for the apparent dogs character.
The dogs sides seems a little weak for then to ripped his arm off. Chances are no one knew what was happening till it was done.
Only one dog risks being put down at the moment

Both dogs ate the boys arm, the quarantine and put down are because they now have a taste for human skin. Because it has been proven that dogs who ate human flesh do attack others, it's standard procedure.

Cost to fix original clock - few thousand dollars. Cost to tape replacement over it - few bucks.

I’m in agreement with your point, but I think more for me it’s the “self-made” billionaire title she has that I have a problem. She did start rich, but she didn’t create her “empire” without her family’s input so much as she expanded it- kind of like rich kids investing family fortunes.

How are you not feeling the effects of global warming and climate change though? We're going through the coldest winters and hottest summers the world has ever seen. Ice caps are melting, water levels are rising. Islands like the Maldives are already inhabitable. The effects we were supposed to see in centuries are already apparent and that should be alarming because global warming is affecting the climate at a much higher scale than we thought. Yet, there are people like you who sit inside the room while its raining outside and say 'it's not raining because I'm not wet.'

Well physiologically the biceps have almost nothing to do with a punch, and those are his biggest assets. His pec(toral)s, the main muscle used in a punch, are not the strongest looking either( I’m not saying I am better, I’m a twig ). Furthermore, he is likely mostly slow-twitch muscle, which is not great in a fight but great for chasing down prey. I guessed this as slow twitch muscle is larger than its fast twitch counterpart, and his biceps are massive. (sorry for the anatomy lesson).

The disease is Lyme disease which some ticks can spread. Increased contact with ticks (hiking, camping, general human encroachment, climate change, etc) is increasing the incidence. Sometimes, people who recover from Lyme become red meat intolerant, or outrightly allergic. Interestingly, having giardiasis could also, in rare cases, cause this intolerance. Usually this sort of thing happens when something about the bug resembles something in the meat, so your body reacts to both the same way (this is termed molecular mimicry). The actual causes in these cases are unknown, so prevention is your best bet. Use repellents when in the wild, remove all deer ticks completely (learn how this is done before going camping in the woods), wear trousers rather than shorts, & look out for the characteristic "bull's eye" rash of Lyme.

There's lots of fun stuff in old newspapers. I remember reading an article from several years ago online about how we incorrectly assume that no one knew anything in the past and we're all discovering new things now, and how ancient civilizations were far more advanced than we give them credit for. It acted like this was a novel way of thinking. Then a few months later while working on a project with old newspapers, I found a newspaper from around 1900 (give or take 10 years, I don't remember the exact year) where someone was saying the exact same thing.

Critics of those who are attempting to move forward on something progressive and good seem very quick to point out when things aren't perfect.
