(different 'guest') Sending a picture of yourself kissing someone isn't good a way of announcing a relationship to your parents no matter what your orientation, gender, race, etc., it's a way of trying to get a reaction. Swap the players for people of different skin colors, of dramatically different ages, in different religious garb, it's trying to get a reaction you can then either go "They're so supportive" or "Oh look at what terrible people my parent's are". It's a cry for attention for people who have to post everything on social media.

It could be a sandstorm/duststorm that blew over top snow, it's just a thin layer of the tan dirt/sand. It could also be the result of volcanic ash settling over snow.

I had popcorn the afternoon before a dental appointment one time and forgot As the hygienist is doing the regular pre-dentist cleaning she says in her heavily southern accent what I hear as "Oh, I found a hole." My mind freaks out, and around the fingers and tools I mange a "What?!" "Found a hole. You had popcorn earlier?" Never have I ever eaten popcorn the same week as a dental visit ever since.

It can apply to nearly any politician. With that election a lot of people ended up voting for what was "the best of two bad options" in their minds, one of those situations where you'd like to vote for a third party but if you do then it meant the "worse of two bad options" would be the equivalent of one vote higher because you weren't voting against them on someone who could win.
The real questions now are - is Trump going to run for a second term (with the ego he has I don't see him choosing not to run for reelection), and who is going to be the Democratic challenger. If their platform repeats a strong dose of "If you don't vote for me you're a [any number of options]-ist and too stupid to know better" in it's rhetoric they will once again piss off a lot of people who term themselves as moderates who don't vote party lines.

The only downside is if there's shifting/cracking. Our patio is stamped & stained concrete and looks nice except the long spaces where they cut through to allow it to shift with the ground/weather changes, it breaks up the aesthetic (still looks nice but they can't just cut along the shaped grooves to make "natural" separations). That's the thing about large stretches of concrete, they need those in order to not to form unmanagable cracks with the standard fluctuations of the seasons and so if there is damage it's a smaller area to remove/repair. (For anyone thinking of doing this on their own, the easy solution in this case would have been to make the small gaps then to roll the imprint over it.

She is amazingly generous, another good thing about this program is they partner with APH (American Printing House for the Blind) and provide books to visually impaired children - usually accessible books are *DRAMATICALLY* more expensive so a blind child would not have many that could engage them - for example the once a year, limited quantities, special print-braille tactile books, if you don't order the one produced this year within 1 or 2 months of their appearance then you're not going to get them and they don't reprint because it's a special arrangement with LDQR to get them produced - this year's was Goin' on a Bear Hunt, much like the song, (and while their standard $59 one from the past is nice, and likely closer to what's sent, it's nowhere near as engaging) it has a tactile line through the story and a tactile 'map' at the end (segments of the 'grass' 'snow' etc in order) for retelling, $299. You can search the aph site or youtube for a better idea than I can describe.

Isn't he the one who came back and was basically immediately physically and sexually assaulting his wife who was also kidnapped? The same one who took that pregnant wife to a known very dangerous place they were warned to stay away from, wants a large family and continued to try making that large family even though while in captivity they killed the daughter they conceived.
Yeah, I'm not going to care too much about what he thinks is a joke or not.

Not quite the same, but as someone who had zero car troubles for the longest time and then had my check engine light come on a handful of times randomly I was *PISSED* to find out that the ~$35 fee to find out what it meant at Firestone was something Advanced Auto, Autozone, etc (the parts places) will do for free.
(For those like me who didn't know) They won't test wiring free, but they will test the battery, check engine light, install wiper blades (but really there is zero reason you can't do that yourself), charging marine/motorcycle/garden tool batteries, they'll loan tools, and recycle oil and batteries.

If I remember correctly it's because he needs pretty much full time and specialized care due to medical issues, she does not. The retirement home she lives in cannot handle the level of care that he is at so he needs to go to that level of assisted living in order to, you know, keep living. She does not need that level of care, and the rooms aren't really designed for two. Think of it as - she needs a primary care physician and he needs the ER, you don't send someone to the ER for a physical and you don't send someone to a PCP for a gunshot wound.

Maybe (trying to give him the benefit of the doubt) he's thinking of HPV, which can cause cancers (cervical, vaginal, penile, rectal, and oral/throat/tongue/tonsils), so you could "catch" cancer from transmission of it, or the potential and reported cases of cancer transmission from a living organ donor, but if he's not remembering all the information he might be incorrectly thinking just a general transmission is possible?

I worked there, a long time ago for about a year back before I realized that if I didn't like a job I could quit and not "be a failure". The boxes come full of the frozen dough because it was much better space-wise and if any broke in transit they could thaw back into a whole.

The dough is not cut to 12 inches.
It comes in big boxes of frozen breadstick shaped dough, definitely much smaller than 12 inches. Then it is allowed to thaw, then proof in the steam - this is where it gets large and voluminous, then it bakes in the 12 inch "loaf" shaped silicone forms and then allowed to cool. If you proof it too long it exceeds the size, if you don't proof it long enough it is smaller all around.
Additionally the "party" subs are three of these frozen breadsticks of dough allowed to thaw then braided and put in the larger silicone forms for proofing and baking then with double meat and double cheese.
No Subway employee cuts dough to size because it's already measured out.

Yes he invented it because he was uncomfortable doing so this way, and the image leads to the sarcastic comment in the image, but then again the image is of an attractive, healthy looking, young woman.
I don't think most people really want to be doing this to someone with open sores, or say someones' 90 year old grandmother/grandfather, someone with a highly contagious disease, or with a sick and upset thrashing around child. Plus you can move the diaphragm/bell around while paying attention to what you're hearing a lot better than pressing your ear, listening, shuffling the patient or yourself around, repeat, in order to get a better idea of what's going on.

To censor captions 4 comments
guest · 6 years ago
It's the ridiculousness of what is considered ok and what is not by the censors. Ass = whole bottom region (generally ok in art and language without censoring), asshole=orifice (oh noes /s), like this fuck, fucker, etc = profane but not obscene slang term for the act or the person committing the act of sex, mother fucker = someone who engages in incest.
Same reason why they had to edit down Boys Don't Cry to remove the "evidence" of the girlfriend's pleasure, because all the cum jokes in comedy moves are perfectly fine (Something About Mary, Van Wilder, etc. etc. etc.) but show someone with a wet mouth after going down on a girl and it's suddenly a step too far.

As a parent I *hate* that girls shorts are so freaking short. Not just teenagers, not just tweens, it starts as soon as they have shorts available. Toddler shorts - boys: pretty close to the knee, girls: barely past their crotch. Send them to daycare with shorts and a t-shirt or a long dressy shirt - "Is [your child] wearing pants?!" "...No, I'm sending her in in just a t-shirt." It slowly becomes a hunt to find the gender neutral patterns and colors of boys shorts for them.

WIth "standard" multiples (twins and triplets) they schedule you a due date that is pretty close to the standard due date, just a little early. For these "large" multiples they get the babies to a safe weight and then do the c-section early so you're having a total of x[babies] at 2-4lbs each getting pretty close to the weight of a large standard baby (obviously the larger number and heavier weight it will surpass, but it's not like they're having multiple 8lb babies.

You are very correct, and not every "African American" is black (first two examples that spring to mind Charlize Theron and Elon Musk), and not every black person is African American (had a friend who was very adamant they were *Not* African American, they were Jamaican) but until the language is eventually settled (as in the past...50? years it's cycled through at least three main terms) that's what it'll be for the moment. It's no different than the Caucasian, Caucasian non-Hispanic specification for some.

But even if someone were to try and make such a stipulation they would not be able to see proof. Voting is done individually, cellphones/photography is not allowed. They could just as easily say they did it and vote for someone else while reaping the "rewards" as having their vote bought.

Long TLDR: Ronald Opus loaded a gun attempting to get (father) to shoot (mother) as that's how they commonly fought. (Father) thought it was an unloaded gun, shot at but missed (mother) but killed his son (Ronald) who had just leapt from the roof of a 10 story building because the matricide attempt had failed. Had the gun (Ronald) loaded been unloaded as per usual he would have lived because a recently installed net would have saved him from the fall.
Short TLDR: Dude loaded the gun that accidentally killed him during what would have been a failed suicide attempt.

Thanks, but I won't take a pap photo (trying to find someone looking their worst) of a person as a sign of how they've aged. No one looks good grimacing, and look at any "without makeup" style photos to see people who are beautiful but not going through the bother of looking immaculate every minute of the day, you'll see a similar difference.

There is also B.S. chatter about him saying that he would not date a trans woman is "transphobic" (which literally it is not, he is not afraid, he just does not have a desire/sexual/intimate relationship preference - it may not make people happy to have someone not interested in them for something they can change [hair color, fashion, to some degree weight, gender role, etc.] or things they can't change [height, chromosomally not physically sex, innate personality, etc.) but that in and of itself is not something that makes you an -ist, or -phobic) .
So not only is he being victim blamed for harassment but he is also having libelous accusations thrown against him.

Actual crystal cake. Slice, anybody? 16 comments
guest · 7 years ago
Seriously, if you can bake a box cake mix, and can manage not to burn yourself with molten sugar it would not take much to do this. Make/buy cake, icing, colored sugar - layer those, press sugar against the sides of the cake. Boil sugar and water until the thermometer reaches hard-crack. Pour into the silicone mold. Let it cool. Push it out of the mold and put it on top of the rest. Boom, pretty, crunchy, too sweet cake. Not, hard.

Actual crystal cake. Slice, anybody? 16 comments

It's not nuts ;p The sanding sugar is just small sugar, it can be tinted and flavored, it's obvious there's something pressed on the outside of the cake (think of it as easy as putting colored sugar sprinkles on Christmas cookies - it's for looks, not taste as it makes things too sweet and...crunchy-ish.
The 'amethyst' is some sort of hard candy. Rock candy (lots and lots of sugar and some color dissolved in boiling water then allowed to re-form crystals) usually has small crystals but this cake looks fairly small due to the size of the fork.
Food safe silicone mold can be used for chocolate or candy and that one on etsy looks pretty spot on for the top of this image. Make that same liquid sugar but heat it until it's at the hard crack stage (basically all the water is gone at this stage and any candy formed will be hard, like toffee, lollypops, etc. - it's a stage on a candy thermometer) pour it in the mold, let it cool, pop it out and put it on top.
This is pretty, not tasty.
Actual crystal cake. Slice, anybody? 16 comments

It should be fairly simple:
It looks like chocolate cake with
a layer of buttercream as the white filling,
some purple (possibly black and purple mix) sanding sugar/sugar crystal sprinkles on the outside of the cake portion.
Then the top either is rock candy (sugar that has been allowed to form big crystals with purple coloring), or even easier - a silicone mold on etsy "Silicone Gem Soap Mold" so I'm sure they're around elsewhere with hard candy (made from sugar with purple and black coloring) done well to get the mix of amethyst shades placed on top.

A child doesn't need meat, but they do need a diet that consists of enough vitamins, proteins, carbs, fats that they will eat to help maintain proper health.
The stories you hear about the fringe idiot vegans giving their infants no formula/breast milk/dairy is child abuse, yes. A balanced diet with meats and dairy and vegetables/fruits is easiest to find the right mix.
If she's going to force veganism on her child then she needs to consult with a pediatrician, a nutritionist, and learn how to cook things that he'll eat.
It's just as easy to find junk things for you that are vegan (most Bac'n/bac'o bits [textured veggie/soy protein, salt, and smoke], Duncan Hines icings, Jello instant pudding mix, Ritz crackers + PB & J, icing free poptarts, nutter butters, granola bars, krispy kreme fruit pies, Speculoos cookie butter, BK & ChickFilA fries, chipotle sofrita). Not saying he should be given a diet consisting of just these but they're easy to point out things that aren't "bland"

Not really anything special. When people are hungry, truly hungry and not just "oh it might be time for the next meal" they will try just about anything.
There are toxic/noxious things that humans have found ways to prepare in a way to eat (acorns, fugu, yuca, various beans when raw, some raw or underripe nightshade veggies - eggplant, potato, tomatillo). Even mushrooms have a risk because there are look-alikes, so if you're foraging and not 100% sure you have the right mushroom it's best not to eat it.
