Makes me think of what it's like to have insomnia. Like, just when you fall into sleep, you just find yourself awake again.

If the legend's true, then her death is all the more sad thanks to her hands being like that. It shows that she gave up and simply waited for death to take her.

it grinned like a hyena at a wounded antelope. It laughed in my face, screaming and wailing like a chorus from hell. It shook and shuddered with the force of its convulsions, and I could hear its irregular heartbeat, see how it pumped through its caved-in torso of naught but thin, black, rotten flesh. Goosebumps ran over my body as I tried to calm myself. But I couldn't close my eyes, and all I could see was its twitching, laughing body looming over me. I didn't close my eyes for the rest of the night. When the first ray of light appeared in my bedroom, the Intruder stuck out a blood red forked tongue and licked my nose, let out another ringing cackle, and fell on top of me as a pile of black bones, the weight of which I could feel, then dissolved into sand and blew away.
And I will bet you any money, it'll come back tonight.
Save me.

This screwed me over, guys. I have sleep paralysis. I had it last night. I saw the Intruder.
It was one of my worst bouts yet. I was laying in bed with my head pointed at the ceiling, sleeping peacefully, until my heart skipped a beat and my eyes flew open. That's when, from the very corner of my vision, a flicker of movement among the shadows caught my attention. My heart was pounding and I couldn't blink, much less turn away.
Then came a blink of light. Its eye was turned on me, glaring, unwavering. The lithe body with too many unsightly joints crept onto the end of my bed. I felt its cold, black flesh on my feet, heard its chainsaw-breathing from an open mouth with hundreds of glinting fangs. I broke out into a cold sweat and felt like passing out. I was offered no such solace from the demon.
The Intruder reached a clawed hand and ran its revolting hand through my hair, scraping my scalp. Bringing its hellish face closer to mine, its spiderweb hair scratching my face like hay,

At least this eliminates the possibility of it being a secret portrait of da Vinci himself, unless this gy also knew about the plan and just kind of copied what his master was doing

Actually, the first Guest is correct in this sense. Allow me to explain.
"Everyday" is an adjective, meaning common, routine, and cannot be used without a subject in the same sentence. However, placing a "the" in front of "everyday" is perfectly acceptable, giving it the meaning of "all that it common."
This comic, however, should have used "Every day" seeing as they were trying to convey the fact that each passing day may not be a good one, but there's something good in each day.
So please, second Guest and all those who upvoted you and downvoted the other, do some basic research before calling anyone other than yourself a moron.

Both. Art that placed somewhere without the consent of the place's owner is vandalism, but that doesn't reduce its artistic qualities.

Promise rings/purity rings don't have to have any religious symbol on them, though. Mine is just three small diamonds (representing the Holy Trinity) put together in the form of a heart between two diamond-studded vines. However, if you didn't know that the three diamonds represent the Holy Trinity, then to you it'd just look like some pretty ring. Just wanted to mention it in case you see some thirteen-year-old with a purity ring and assume that it's an engagement ring just because of its design.

Take one match from the nine, make it a three, move it to the one, make it a seven, BAM four plus three equals seven.

I'm really sorry, it's not that I don't respect the guy, it's just that he killed all those people, including innocents if the movie is any bit true, in a war that the U.S. themselves started to gain oil. Rest in peace and all that, but let's not get carried away. Killing is murder no matter how you slice it.
