But I was her bright blue eye, just a wonderful moment of peace and calm within the storm she creates around herself. It was really touching to me because she was going through a rough time emotionally, with low self-esteem and suicidal thoughts. I didn't know how to reply, it was so beautiful.

We actually rarely bring it up, out of fear of being rejected or hurt. Vegans can do it all they want, because nobody would hurt them for it.
