I went through some old photos of college and a bar I used to work at in 2017 the other day, there were so little people that did not have a lit cigarette at any given time.
Everything smelled like smoke, even in the mornings when you'd open and no smoke hath been smoketh yet.

Most houses would smell of smoke and it would stick to your clothes and bags.
Walking on the sidewalk you had to dodge smokers like it was space invaders.

I forgot how absolutely ubiquitous it was.

Welcome to South Africa, where we, up until quite recently, had regular power cuts multiple times a day for two hours at a time, called loadshedding. Sometimes it gets bad and it's two 2-hour slots back-to-back, so four hours without power, and sometimes that happens twice a day.

Well yeah, I'm not GenZ but it makes sense - am I taking time out of my current job for something that pays barely more than minimum wage? Are you gonna screw me over in some other ways or lowball me? Even a range is fine. Finding out I have to do level 100 tasks for level 1 pay ain't it.
