As @ewqua noted, the basic light is available at Ikea, in several sizes. However, if you want it to look like the Death Star, you will have to do a little decorating on the plain whitish lamp. There are several how-to guides on YouTube and Bored Panda. Search for "living room light that looks like the death star" to find the various guides.

Sean Connery doesn’t want to be in your advertisement, circa 1998 4 comments

Originally posted on June 19, 2011, on the Scoopertino humour website. It showed the supposed iMac ad and the response letter from Sean Connery. The ad copy had a poem on it that went, "The children are snuggled. / Santa's opened his pack. / The man is Sean Connery. / The gift is iMac." with a picture of Connery holding a Christmas ornament, next to a picture of an iMac.

Wow! Of all the collective nouns for groups of creatures, I don't think I've ever heard a more perfect and poetic one, than a kaleidoscope of butterflies. Thanks for that.

Don't beat yourself up, it's not that bad. Sure you can brighten the image of the crapping pooch, but I think the silhouette of the dog is quite artistic.

The website indicated on the card is still active. When you click on the link for their store locations, up pops their one and only remaining brick and mortar, in Bend, Oregon. If you copy and search the address that they provide, you'll find that store is pretty famous. People actually make pilgrimages to it. The rest of the site is one big ad for the Dish Network.

Wow! I honestly thought this was someone passing off a photo as a pencil sketch. Then I checked out "Foj Teflon Art". The artist is amazing.

I can just see their fetish gear, lol, throw pillows and down comforters, frilly dresses and cardigans. Like Donna Reed meets Mister Rogers, and when the action picks up, the more adventurous put on those blankets with sleeves, Snuggies. "It is so soft and luxurious. Now hold my hand, GENTLY!"

Li Xiaofeng is the artist. He was trained as a muralist but turned to sculpture to explore a new concept and expression of Chinese landscapes. His choice of material is unexpected; instead of marble, wood or even glass, he prefers buying shards of broken porcelain recovered from ancient archeological digs, some dating from the Ming Dynasty, and then shaping and polishing them, drilling holes into each corner and linking them together with silver wire to create "rearranged landscapes". You can find other examples of his artistic recycling efforts here: https://www.redgategallery.com/content/li-xiaofeng

In 2019 there were about 120 on the planet. An earlier article, talking about the efforts to bring them back, had their numbers at 35, so moving in the right direction.

The first sign that our machine overlords had become sentient, was a subtle trolling campaign, that was initially overlooked in the chaos of 2020. Things got worse fast.

That was a great show. My favorite episode was the one that started off with Tim overclocking an ordinary household appliance, then segueing into an argument with his wife, Jill, that ended with Wilson explaining Tim's error and Tim, having learned his lesson, apologizing and Jill forgiving him. A truly unique, one of a kind, classic!

It's called the Testimatic, labelled as "the world's first auto ball checker".What you do is muster your courage, step up to the booth, pull a curtain around you and drop your pants.
What then happens is not some fancy high tech screening process - instead, there's a good old urologist sitting in the booth who - through a hole - will have a little feel of your balls.
In a matter of minutes, you'll be good to go again.

Here's the character string I Googled, "saturday mornings emergency room bagel cuts" -dozens of articles will be found. It's actually pretty believable, given that we need to be warned about the imprudence of using a hairdryer while showering, lol.

Spent way too much time trying to discern what was so special about his "custom contacts". Can't wait till my ophthalmologist clears my post-operative eyes for a new eye test and glasses.

I read about Lundehunds years ago and was impressed with their unique physiology. A recent posting, concerning Gorden Ramsay getting bit on...the beak, lol, by a puffin, brought the memory back. You and @snowbeast have definitely added to my knowledge of them. TY.

So it seems the breed was developed with this exact purpose in mind. Guess my dream of developing a Pizzahund isn't as farfetched as my wife thinks. Thanks for the encouragement.

Seriously, I read something similar to the following, and have since been hyper-vigilant when cutting bagels. Evidently ERs, on weekends, are pretty busy with people sporting wounds to their non-dominant hand.: Don’t Be the Next BRI (Bagel Related Injury) Statistic!
In 2008, 1,979 people went to the emergency room due to a BRI (bagel-related injury), according to the Wall Street Journal. In fact, it’s the number one injury on Saturday and Sunday mornings and is so frequent that there’s even an insurance code number for it. This number is actually higher as it doesn't take in to account BRI's that went to walk-in medical centers or their own physicians. Bottom line is it’s no fun to have your morning ruined because you lost the battle with your bagel.
