Same here. I have a deal with insects, I avoid stepping on them outside the house, but the moment they cross the threshold, they die. Except for spiders. They get caught and released into the unfinished basement where they ruthlessly help to enforce the deal.

For real fun, paint a tiger to look like a cow. Come by around milking time to witness the hijinks.

That and pop culture osmosis. The line being paraphrased is the one thing from that movie that has been circulating for the last 81 years. This meme itself, is proof of that. I've heard variations of that line thousands of times, in movies, TV shows, in print and mostly from friends and coworkers cracking wise.

In this day and age, with identity theft being such a common issue, our signature should be accompanied by a thumbprint, retinal scan, DNA sample, EEG and a voice print, for anything more than a gym membership.
The only way those hackers are going to steal my $17.00 savings account is if they grow a clone!

This is a legit problem in Hollywood. Until only recently they tended to light for whites, resulting in the black actors not looking nearly as attractive as they really were. I'm not going to elaborate here, but if your interested and it really is interesting, Google, "It’s lit! How film finally learned to light black skin"
Admittedly, the Hollywood issue is not nearly as bad as these photos, lol.

I just saw something on this very topic in some YouTube video. A complaint was being made, that after dinner, rather than talking, everyone in the family was buried in their favourite magazines. This was in 1924. The more things change...

Right, because when they started work, they were put behind glass and frozen in time. It's not as if they were around to watch the computers, that their generation developed and brought to market, slowly take over all aspects of the workplace and society. It's not as if there was ongoing and recurrent training in all fields, as new technologies and practices evolved over the years. Please outline how being up to date on Tinder and Tik Tok has contributed to your, no doubt, meteoric rise in the gig economy.

Probably wouldn't be the laugh fest you envision. Hopefully, a bunch of old people, who have investments, money in the bank, grown kids, paid off mortgages and no outstanding school loans for useless liberal arts degrees, wouldn't be chasing anything more than a source of pocket change. One thing for sure, they wouldn't be sitting on their entitled and lazy asses, whining to each other about how the world owes them something and is failing to recognize their right to start at the top.

US senators were secretly briefed on the upcoming pandemic and its potential to disrupt the economy. They didn't think it was worth warning their constituents about but several did use the inside information to initiate millions of dollars of stock sell-offs in advance of the crash.

If I was on a jury that was deciding the fate of a homeowner who killed a burglar, I would have zero issue with letting him off. No one has the right to enter your home uninvited, let alone to rob you. You cross that threshold, the consequences are all yours and deadly force is always a potential consequence. You made a choice.

Love his character. It's so ironic that a multiple Emmy winner and Golden Globe/Emmy nominee, is being lauded for his ability to not emote, in such a convincing manner. I smell another Emmy.

You know he's going to change a lot of lives with that money. I only hope he keeps a bit for himself, he certainly deserves it.
