I agree. My brother used to wear dresses all the time when he was a kid. Now he's been married to his wife for 8 years, has two kids, and is one of the manliest men I've come across. I also used to be a huge tomboy when I was little, and now all I ever want to wear is dresses. I don't understand what the big deal is either. The clothes your kid wants to wear or the toys they want to play with aren't necessarily going to carry through with them to adulthood, and even if it does, who cares? Just let your kid be a kid.

I'd also like to point out that Angelina Jolie uses her sex-appeal quite a bit in her career (not that there's anything wrong with that). So, your point isn't really fitting here.

Women aren't the only people who base their value and success on sex appeal. There are plenty of men in Hollywood whose whole careers are based solely around them being sexy and attractive (i.e. Channing Tatum...especially in Magic Mike). Also, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of male Calvin Klein models who do nothing but pose in their underwear for money. So before you start bashing women, realize that self-objectification isn't something that only women do. I've never once heard you criticize men for objectifying themselves, but anytime a woman appears on a post (whether fully clothed or not) you're always the first one to call her a slut or a whore. Interesting.

I think the reason that some people are so vocal about their sexual orientation is because there's still so much ignorance and misunderstanding when it comes to any sexuality that isn't heterosexuality. The more understanding and tolerant the world becomes to different sexualities, the less flamboyant and "in your face" people will be about their sexual orientation. And as for pride parades, I think any sort of congregation of basically-naked drunk people is a little distasteful (that includes pride parades, spring break beach parties, night clubs, etc.), but that's just my opinion.
