i read somewhere that you shouldn't do that because when your hair is wet it can break and stretch more easily, and if you twist it in a towel it can cause frizzy and damaged hair. i also read that you can use a cotton t-shirt instead a towel, because the fabric is gentler on the hair.

ling your kid to get over whatever problem are they having is such an asshole thing to do, shouldn't you be there for them? shouldn't you be helping them cope with life? shouldn't you be there, supporting them through thick and thin? this is so fucked up, my parents do the same. whenever i go to them for help they tell me to get over it. once i told my mom i think i have depression and she was like "alright, i'll take you to the doctors, but there's a fair chance they'll put you in a mental hospital.. you might be crazy" and that's why i'm extremely afraid to get myself checked even though i know nothing like that will happen. my dad doesn't even try to understand how much shit is going down in my head every day every hour of the day. funny thing is when i told my mother i have been having suicidal thoughts numerous times a week she started to think that maybe she shouldn't be "joking around" and talk to me. my life is shit and i can't really do anything about it..
